1. Airport Descriptions
To prove your worth as the director of your chosen airport, you need to demonstrate an understanding of the national airport system and the different types of airports. Briefly describe the roles of a commercial services airport, a reliever airport, and a general aviation airport. Provide an example of each type of airport. Remember to use references to support your statements.
2. Part 1 – 10 Project Management Knowledge Areas
For this part, referring specifically to the 10 PMI Project Management Knowledge Areas, write and provides your opinion of how necessary all 10 of the PMI Project Management Knowledge Areas are to project success. Does there seem to be too many? Are there any you would remove/add/combine/modify, etc.? There is not an expected correct answer. Your posting should be original thought written in your own words and not taken from or referenced by an existing text or document. Your personal knowledge, experience, and opinion is important to the learning process.
Part 2 – 10 Project Management Knowledge Areas Integration and Omission
The focus of your evaluation should be based on the need for the ten areas. Consider how are they are integrated and what would be the consequences of omitting one. Write about your personal evaluation of the project management knowledge areas. Consider the following:
· Are all of the PMI Knowledge Areas of equal importance to every project? Why, or why not?
· How does the PMI knowledge Areas compare to other agencies’ knowledge area listings contained in the readings? Do you think another listing is more appropriate? Explain your rationale.
