How realistic is it to develop competencies on every job? Is there a good substitute?
2.An organization’s HR unit requires managers to conduct 4 appraisal meetings with each employee. They also require there should be two or more future-oriented developmental meetings throughout the year. Furthermore, they indicate that these two types of discussions should not occur in the same meeting. They are getting some pushback from managers with respect to the amount of meetings. What advice would you give the HR unit? (Feel free to help defend their position, or to have them change it.)
