 Answer the following Essay QuestionsYour answers should be written in essay form with a clear Intro, Body, and Conclusion. Use examples or analogies as applicable to support your points. There is no required minimum length but you should clearly and fully answer each question. There is no maximum length; however, an essay/answer should not take more than 1 1/2 pages, at most. Pay attention to any special instructions given for a specific question. Your answers should be in your own words. Short quotes can be used, as needed, and you must cite any references used in APA format. #Q1.  Compare and contrast the OSI 7-layer model with the TCP/IP 4-layer model, including the basic functions for each layer, the advantages and disadvantages of each model, and one example of how a specific protocol is used (from either model, your choice).

  #Q2.  In your own words, describe what is meant by fault tolerance in a network, and give an example of how it could be implemented in a small office LAN with 25 workstations and two servers, including Internet access for the workstations, but not the internal servers. 

 #Q3.  You are a network analyst and your boss has given you an assignment to make a presentation to a group of non-technical business managers to provide an overview of a new network project to segregate work units onto separate subnets. They are worried that their staff wont be able to share and collaborate on projects as they currently do. Briefly explain the purpose of subnetting, as you would to this group, including the benefits that are expected, and address their concern about data sharing and collaboration.  Your answers should be submitted in a single Word document (for all questions) and follow these formatting criteria:

  • No cover page; at the top of the first  page, just provide: Course Number/Title, Midterm Exam Part 2, Your Name, and Date
  • The answer/essay for each question should start at the top of a new page
  • Margins = 1 in.
  • Fonts = 12 pt. using a standard typeface (e.g., Arial, Calibri, Times Roman)
  • Line spacing = 1.5 or double-spaced
