Group Project Systems Analysis Description We will be comparing two similar systems Amazon Prime and Walmart+ using systems analysis techniques to show their similarities and differences. Both systems offer an eCommerce shopping experience for the consumer. Amazon Prime has been a dominant player in the space for over the past decade. Walmart, on the other hand, has been the dominant brick and mortar retail giant for many decades. Walmarts entry into the eCommerce space has been somewhat of a quiet one. They have offered a dot com shopping experience for consumers since the 2010s but have recently introduced their Walmart+ program to directly compete with Amazons Prime program. In this project we will assess both Amazon Primes program and the Walmart+ consumer shopping program. We are curious on the design elements and ease of use for the consumer. In addition, we would like to identify competitive advantages each platform can deliver. Amazon has been such a big player in the space for awhile now, we are curious what improvements, if any, Walmart can produce to attract customers and gain market share over Amazon.
