In the previous week, we learned about resolving conflict and negotiating skills. The five major styles of conflict management are as follows:

  • Competitive
  • Accommodative
  • Sharing
  • Collaborative
  • Avoidant

Discuss the following:

  • Compose a workplace example to illustrate the particular style in action by you or your chosen leader when dealing with a workplace conflict.
  • Critique at least 2 of your classmates choices of a conflict management style. Be professional and respectful in your responses.
  • Propose using an alternative style. For example, apply the collaborative approach if the competitive approach is being used.
