In the first part of the essay, provide a summary of the research paper:
1) what question were the experimenters asking?
2) what was their hypothesis?
3) what were their methods? (what did they manipulate and what and how did they measure?)
4) what were the results?
5) why is this study interesting?

In the second part of the essay, provide a brief critique of how the press article discussed the research findings. Is the press article accurate? How so or how not? Did they focus the main points of the research paper? highlight any controversy? what was left out and how does that matter in terms of interpreting the findings?
