5. In The New New, explain Bradleys and Craigs reaction to Naomis letter. Provide quotations from each character and analysis to validate your claims.
6. Explain what Oedipuss tragic flaw is and provide examples of that demonstrate his flaw. You are not required to provide quotations.
7. In Fences, how does Troys perception of race in America shape his interactions with his son? Provide quotations to help support your argument.
8. In Trifles, explain why the women conceal Mrs. Wrights crime. Your explanation should incorporate a discussion of how the time period in which the play is set influences the womens decision.
9. Identify a style of criticism that would help you successfully analyze Trifles and explain how your chosen style of criticism is appropriate. You do not need to actually analyze the play.
10. Decide if Troy from Fences is a round or flat character. Justify your decision with clear analysis of his personality, characteristics, and desires as appropriate. Provide quotations and analysis to assist in validating your decision.
