The finished final essay should be at least five and no more than ten pages long. Write in a 12-point font and use 1.5 or double-spacing.
Secondary sources, such as our textbook, should be used and so should at least one or two primary sources.
This outline will provide the narrative of the true-life offenders criminal behaviour. The outline should also contain a proposed set of theoretical resources.
This outline is worth 10% of your final grade.
The criminal behaviour of the offender is important as a means to demonstrating an ability to explain and apply the theoretical resources. However, the emphasis of the Finished Projects content should centre on research of primary sources, your citations, and exegesis, as well as assessments of the adequacy of the theories.
The completed major project should include a critical evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of the theoretical resources. This evaluation could include competing, alternative theories or your commentary on the adequacy of the theorys application to the case.

Citations should conform to a recognized format. To quote from J.B. Peterson: All the details regarding APA style can be found at http://www.apastyle.org/ Your instructor may have recommended, or demanded, use of a different set of conventions. Information about other techniques and rules can be found at http://www.easybib.com/reference/guide/mla/general. It is necessary to master at least one convention. The rules are finicky and annoying. However, they are necessary, so that readers know what writers are up to. Furthermore, you only have to learn them once, so bite the bullet and do it.
