Essay 1
Explain the process by which Presidents are selected in the United States. Cover the period from the primaries to the election. Also, in your opinion, why was Joe Biden elected in 2020?
Essay 2
Pick one bill that has become law during the last two Congresses. Why was the bill proposed? What issues does it address? Identify one argument for and one against the legislation. Which major interest groups supported it? Also, trace the steps involved in getting the bill through the legislative process to final passage (committees, votes, joint committees, amendments, and final presidential signature). When was it proposed and how long did it take to pass? Was there bipartisan support for the bill? This project will require the use of outside sources and research.
