Central Aim: This assignment requires learners to demonstrate their comprehension of consent as sexual process.

Assignment Overview: Papers must demonstrate an understanding of consent and coercion.

Learners should briefly introduce a central organizing argument or thesis, (can address a question, issue or debate) and then utilize the required readings to advance this argument.

Synthesis of the matter [i.e., the most essential information, overarching themes, central or organizing argument(s)]

What kinds of concerns or questions do the readings address (not address)?

What kinds of concerns underlie the work as a whole?

What frameworks or orientations inform the work?

What are the key concepts and themes of the required readings?

How are these linked?

Learning Objectives/Assessment Criteria:
Reading comprehensionHow well does the learner understand the require readings and to what extent is this understanding evident in their written work?

For example, is the learner able to identify, differentiate and integrate key concepts, arguments, frameworks/orientations, and wider implications of the required readings?

AnalysisHow well is the learner able to employ, apply and interrogate the key concepts and arguments of the required readings?
For example, is the learner able to move beyond simple summation and description and articulate key concepts and themes found within the readings? Does the learner support their position with evidence? (i.e., appropriate ______ and corresponding citation). Is the learner able to contextualize and link core concepts of the reading to larger discussions and debates? (i.e., critical thinking)

WritingHow well does the learner construct and articulate arguments? Are the learners ideas accessible and clear? Does the learner organize and present their work in accordance with the specifications of the assignment? Does the learner adhere to
the principles of academic integrity? Does the learner express their ideas clearly and persuasively? Does the learner demonstrate a respect for writing as processes?

Meaning the submission is polished, clear, concise, and coherent (does NOT read like a first draft).

Length- 1,000-1,500 words; 4 pages (min)-6 pages (max)
Font- Times New Roman
Font Size 12
Spacing Double Spaced
APA referencing and in-text citations (NO endnotes or footnotes)
Title page is required (be sure to include your name, student number, the course title
and code, and an original title for your paper).
