After reading this weeks chapters and this article, answer this weeks discussion board question. 

The United States Constitution under the 5th Amendment requires that  the government pay just compensation for property taken from a person.   Read case 4.4 in your textbook, watch the video on the “Takings Clause”  and then answer these questions:

• What is the purpose of the “taking clause” in the Constitution?
• Explain how this is applied by the government to private property.
• Pick two ethical theories and apply them to the actions of the government in this case.
