Qualitative and Quantitative Research

Qualitative and Quantitative Research

Students may be more familiar with a quantitative approach to research, but many research problems can be explored using either a quantitative approach, a qualitative approach, or both, in a mixed methods approach. The readings assigned for this week compare qualitative research and quantitative research in a number of ways. In your initial post, briefly compare qualitative and quantitative research. Be sure to address the difference between the interpretive and the positivist paradigms as well as ontological, epistemological, and methodological differences. Reflecting on your own predilections, do you relate to one paradigm more than the other? Which one and why? 300 words minimum
