Any topic (writer’s choice)

OVERVIEW: The Course Project will be submitted in three milestones prior to submission of the final project. The final project submission will need to address all feedback received on all milestone assignments to earn full credit. It must be submitted as one cohesive double-spaced, APA formatted document in the following order: title page, essay (including introductory and concluding paragraphs), reference page, and appendix for data tables. No abstract or running head is needed. Document should be page numbered top right.

1ST MILESTONE: I DID ALREADY (WILL UPLOAD BELOW)

2ND MILESTONE

Essay Part 1:
Add this milestone to your previous work so you are submitting the entire document draft to date including the title page, essay, references page, and appendix (data tables should be placed at the end of the document after References as an Appendix).
This first half of the essay must be a minimum word count of 1,000 words which is approximately 4 full pages double-spaced not including title page, reference list, or data tables.
Note: the total essay (i.e., 2nd and 3rd milestone together) should be a minimum word count of 2,000 words which is approximately 8 full pages double-spaced not including title page, reference list, or data tables.
DO NOT submit this milestone unless it has first been checked  and corrected for spelling, grammar, and writing style as suggested by the Grammarly Free Writing Assistant (www.grammarly.com (Links to an external site.)) introduced in orientation.
For this milestone, choose four or five indicators from your data tables to explore in more detail. It does not matter which of the five categories the indicators come from, but I suggest choosing indicators which you believe are of utmost important to explore. This could be either because the county is performing much different than the state (see difference column on tables) or because it is an important indicator for public health.
For each of the indicators chosen, research each of the following topics as indicated (cardiovascular disease is used as an example). Use only published journal articles, published books, .org, .edu, or .gov websites for your research. DO NOT use .com websites for your research. The only exception might be a hospital website! Topics:
Describe the causes and symptoms associated with the indicator (e.g., what are the causes of cardiovascular disease and what are the symptoms?).
Why is this indicator a public health priority? (Example: why is cardiovascular disease a public health priority?)Lastly, find examples of actual programs at the hospitals, schools, police departments, county health departments, etc. that have been effective at reducing the incidence. (Example: what county programs have been developed to reduce the incidence of cardiovascular disease?).
Write an essay presenting your research for each indicator that covers all three topics listed above. As a general guide, discussion of each indicator should comprise at least one page double-spaced and three paragraphs per page (i.e., one paragraph for each topic). Use headers to introduce each indicator within the body of the essay.

PROJECT FORMAT NOTES:

Although you will be submitting the essay in milestones, the final submission should include both milestone submissions as ONE cohesive double-spaced, APA formatted document. Document should be page numbered top right. Review: APA Sample Student Paper
Order of the project pages should be: 1) title page, 2) essay (including introductory and concluding paragraphs), 3) reference list, 4) appendix (i.e., data tables).
Include one cohesive APA reference list with corresponding in-text citation. Use the APA resources provided in the course under Begin Here to guide you, or look for examples on the internet by searching on APA 7th edition reference list and in-text citation format. Please never hesitate to contact me if you still need assistance.
Turnitin software is used to determine what percentage of your work is copied from other documents or websites. Concepts taken from your sources must be presented/written in your own words, using proper APA in-text citation to indicate which source on your reference list was used.
