Not all of us read, let alone enjoy, love poetry. Yet almost all of us have heard some love song on the radio, on TV, as part of a film soundtrack, etc. that seemed to say exactly what we were feeling, whether we were in love or out of love at the time. Taking this as an opportunity to think about our love poem readings through a lens of everyday love, for this assignment present and discuss 1 love song of your choice (from any music genre). Summarize in a few sentences what perspective or idea of love your love song expresses and then, in another paragraph, compare/contrast it to 1 love poem from the poetry packets (using either a single line, an image, etc.). Please include a YouTube link to your song if possible. Minimum 300-500 words.
