Thermistor temperature

As a team, using this discussion forum, decide who will be the team leader for week 6, week 7, and week 8.  Everyone in the group must be a team leader at least once.

For the project, which will be explained in more detail next week, each of you will design and simulate an instrumentation circuit with different temperature specifications, though you will choose and use the same thermistor. An operational-amplifier Wheatstone bridge will also be used.

The options for the lower and upper temperature limits of this circuit are as shown below. Each teammate should pick a lower and upper limit, and these should be different than those of anyone else in the group.

  • Lower limit options: 40, 50, 60, 70
  • Upper limit options: 80, 90, 100, 110

For the thermistor and operational-amplifier Wheatstone bridge, you will utilize the internet to do some research.

Decide the specifications that each team member will use.  Remember, each of you should have different temperature requirements.  Each team member should research the operational-amplifier Wheatstone bridge, summarize what they learned about it, and provide links to their sources. As a group, decide on the thermistor that you will use in your designs and decide one which of the resources shared on the operational-amplifier Wheatstone bridge is the most useful.
