Managing Trustee Relationship

The board of trustees can be an asset to an institution, but may have a potential of micromanaging. Ultimately, they do have control over a great deal of an institution.

For this question, put yourself in the role of a new president of an institution that has a completely volunteer board elected from the public. How would you, as the new president, start to build a relationship with the board of trustees? Use Perkins’s 2012 article attached below as a base for your methods.
