a) This is a first wrap-up question reflecting on the entire course. What is your single, most-important take away from any of the cases we have used this semester in 75-100 words? Let me illustrate what I am looking for. Consider the Reed Supermarkets case. The case starts off with the first-hand observations made by Meredith Collins, VP of Marketing for Reed Supermarkets, about the foot traffic at Reed and some rivals’ stores. Based on this you could say: “I learnt that executives “manage” not only by conducting meetings and going through written reports but also by walking around. I also found it interesting that Meredith visited rival stores.” I am looking for something that created a unique insight for you. There is no right or wrong answer here. But be sure to elaborate the case context and your learning appropriately to make it a stand-alone reading.
b) This is a second wrap-up question reflecting on the entire course. Please see slide 3 in chapter 4 (screen shot below). After taking BUS 498, what is your single, most-important take away for one of the five attributes highlighted in red? There is no right or wrong answer here. But be sure to elaborate the context and your learning appropriately in 75-100 words to make it a stand-alone reading. Again, I am looking for something that created a unique insight for you. What you describe here in part (b) does not have to be tied to a case at all. It could be anything your learned while taking BUS 498 this semester as long as it can be related to one of the five attributes highlighted in red. Identify clearly which attribute you are choosing.
