Emergency Management

This week’s readings look at issues related to the US ability to respond to emergencies.   I’ve added the 2020 National Preparedness Report put out by Homeland Security so you have the most recent report.    Note that there is a section on cybersecurity which tracks this threat and how prepared states are to respond to it.    We’ve focused on terrorist threats over the past 6 weeks.   There isn’t a lot on terrorism in this week’s materials, but try to consider what you’ve learned so far as you read through the issues addressed in our readings.   Are there any areas of concern that could lead to increased terrorist threats?   Cybersecurity is an obvious one, but are there others?
