Technology continues to advance how we do business. Communication is increasingly electronic and less face-to-face. A shifting dynamic as to how groups of individuals assemble to complete a task or project shifts the organizational dynamics in organizational behavior. The development and facilitation of remote workgroups and virtual teams are increasing. For instance, video conferencing, e-mail, and data transfers are tools for getting the work done whether across the room or across the globe.
Choosing to be a group model or a team model impacts how the organization behaves and the results achieved. The Tuckman model of group development is one of the most used and versatile in business administration. Natvig & Stark (2016) describe how moving through the stages of Tuckmans model shape the group into a well-developed team by evolution from its established status to growth group, taking on new challenges for continued development. The business benefits from this continued growth as this will impact process, practice, and culture within the organization.
Likewise, companies often form cross-functional or multidisciplinary teams, in order to assemble all functions and ensure the product or service meet requirements and standards of all departments and functions. Remote individuals and technology aids these functions through virtual teams that cross not only regional boundaries but also global ones. Most of us have experienced virtual teams and has experienced both the challenges and benefits.

PART 1. The use of models such as Tuckmans assists in developing successful teams and small groups. So for the first part of this threaded discussion, conduct an external search to find the Tuckman (1965) article titled Developmental sequence in small groups. Write no more than a 150 word annotated bibliography of the article and attach as a word document within the thread.

PART 2. Consider the topic you selected and your purpose for selecting the topic. Based upon Tuckmans model (with the fifth stage included), what stage are the groups or teams in at the organization you would use for a research project? Based upon external research (if applicable) and background material, briefly share some strategies you can use to get the team/group to the desired stage, e.g., conduct and assess the Tuckman (or similar) team work survey, etc. In your response, make sure you address virtual strategies as well.

for the first part, do whats required dear scholar, u see my professor says “conduct an external search” meaning u can refer to outside articles, no need to get them from the pdfs and the articles i provided, i provided the pdfs and the articles (2 links above) for a purpose, which is to read them aiming to understanding tuckman’s stages and etc. and understand what tuckman theory is all about and etc.
for the 2nd part, use COCA COLA as the company, cuz the professor from begining of the class, asked us to choose a company so we can analyze throughout the semester, so in a weekly basis alsmowt we have new discussion or reflection, so the company i have chosen is cocacola.
