We see original works of art adapted for other than their original use. For example, Mona Lisa, by Leonardo da Vinci, about 1503, has appeared on mugs, watches, beach towels, flip flops, and in advertisements for pasta sauce, among other things. Your assignment is to find an example of an original work of art being used in a new way. Please choose something other than Mona Lisa. In an essay of 150-250 words, briefly describe the original (artist, title, date) and the new, and include an image or link. In your opinion, does the new use work? If so, why? If not, why not?
