Each student in class will submit a personal reflection assignment which they be asked to look at a management topic discussed in one of the chapters through the lens of their own career as an Human resources professional.
Please select a chapter and using Microsoft Word, submit a 5-7 typewritten, double spaced paper, 12 point font that is either Times New Roman or which should include the following:
A synthesis of the selected chapter / readings in understanding management
A brief description of your industry, company, role, structure, ( I work in the HR department at a commercial bank as an HR consultant)
A situation where your selected topic arose at work
A description of how the situation was handled. This should be written in the context of the chapter (and additional readings) and citations should be provided
A set of two learning outcomes that you received as a result of the experience
This is essentially a mini case study. Though preferable, this paper does NOT need to be based on your current job. If necessary, you may choose to write about a previous professional experience.
