Family is one of the most important institutions in our society. However, as society changes this institution also changes. Based upon the reading you have done for chapter 12 as well as your own observations answer the following questions:
1. Explain two ways the institution of family is functional for society.
2. Describe two ways families have changed as society has evolved. As part of your response you must discuss one positive and one negative change. In addition, your response to this question should be at least 12 sentences.
3. What do you think the institution of family will look like in 20 years? Will we have more types of family? Will we have a decline in the number of families that exist? What will interaction be like among family members?
