Write a paper in which you develop a critique of one of these thinkers from the point of view of the other. Your goal should not be to prove absolutely that one or the other is right, but only that the arguments of one expose serious if not fatal problems in some of the ideas or aims of the other. Try to anticipate possible defenses on the part of the thinker you are criticizing, and responses as they might be formulated by the thinker whose point of view you are using.
