Your presentation should be delivered in a webinar format using Kaltura and focus on applying Educational Psychology-based research in professional practice.
For this week, please review your weekly resources for tips on how to create an effective PowerPoint presentation. The headings and sub-headings reflected in your outline should be used to organize the content for your presentation slides. At a minimum, your presentation must provide points to address the following:
Identify the topic of the webinar. Explain why this topic is important.
Determine the need for the webinar and illustrate the objectives of the webinar.
Specify the target audience for the webinar. Who will benefit from this presentation about Educational Psychology (e.g., administrators, teachers, parents, students, stakeholders, etc.)? Provide a rationale for your choice.
Recommend four to six evidence-based, best practice approaches for addressing/resolving the topic/issue. Support each practice with at least one research citation.
Analyze ethical, cultural, and diversity needs and issues related to the topic/issue/solutions.
Explore necessary collaborative efforts and their purpose (people: administrators, teachers, parents, school psychologists, school counselors, students, etc.) to promote effective change.
Detail two resources and/or activities you will include in your webinar (e.g., reflection questions, role plays, discussion groups). Be specific in your response.
You will also need to include speaker notes or a detailed transcript to accompany your Kaltura video presentation. In your written portion, include citations that supported each of your assertions. Hint: Refer to your annotated outline!
As you record, please keep your audience in mind! Your webinar should be interesting, informative, engaging, and appropriate for delivery within an organizational context.
