5 DQ 1
Spiritually is ones connection to their perceived purpose in life. It is a human trait that relates to how people seek and express meaning and purpose. It is the deeper connection of self that extents outwardly. Spiritually is expressed through various extensions such as religion, nature, or meditation. It is rituals or practice that an individual turns to for solace and understanding of purpose.

Spiritual care provides a deeper level of compassion and understanding without religious or any other biases. It provides a safe non-judgmental environment where patients are able express their spiritual needs. Beyond

expressing spiritual needs, another part of spiritual care is meeting those needs through attentively listening, tactile consolation, or chaplain services and beyond.

I agree with the topic reading, spiritually is a conscience understanding of self-purpose. It is the foundation of humanity. According to the reading, spirituality can also be defined as a knowledge of one’s interconnections with all of creation, as well as an appreciation of presence and purpose, as well as a sense of meaning (Evans,2020).

What is your definition of spiritual care? How does it differ or accord with the description given in the topic readings? Explain.
