Research Topic

The clinical focus is on the effectiveness of the Moderna and Pfizer Biotech COVID-19 vaccines for healthcare providers in the United States. With preliminary research still in process, the need for continuing data collection and analysis of the vaccines significance in protecting healthcare professionals is fundamental to ensuring their safety and maintaining their health.

Case Study: Vaccine Effectiveness of Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 Vaccines Among Health Care Professionals

CDC Case Study

Presented by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the case study breaks down the significance of vaccination status among healthcare professionals due to their risks of high exposure of contracting the disease. The summary of the effectiveness of the Pfizer Biotech and Moderna vaccines gives an opportunity to analyze the efficacy of the vaccinations in high risk groups. The published case study was conducted using comparison between age groups, sex, race, ethnicity, underlying conditions, reported symptom of illness, hospitalization history, and vaccination status. Conclusions of the case study lead to the clinical significance of vaccines effectiveness for disease prevention and symptom reduction for healthcare professionals, and emphasizes the importance of encouraging vaccinations to the community to avoid higher death rates and virus incidence (Pilishvili et al., 2021).
