Before you begin this discussion, make sure you go through the extra readings and lectures for this week. You are going to post a reader response to these books.

Keep in mind, that this post is NOT about if you liked the books or not (there is an optional discussion post about that).

I want you to think about WHY Mario Bellatin and Emily St. John Mandel wrote these books.

  1. What are the themes?
  2. How do you relate to those?
  3. What messages are they trying to get us to discuss?

I will push back and argue with you or ask follow-up questions to get you to dig deeper.
