Week 3: Using Resources for SuccessPosted Sep 12, 2022 12:01 AM
Hello Class,
You all have been doing a terrific job these last few weeks. This coming week is focused on using SNHU resources for your success. You will dive deeper this week to understand how to navigate using resources both inside and outside the classroom, but also further understanding where your time really goes! The reading (Chapter 11) and activity will build on your strengths and personal needs for even stronger time management.
We spend a lot of time in this course talking and learning about resources and support. We can chunk these out into two main categories: Academic and Social.
Academic Support includes all of the great resources that SNHU offers. Examples are your advisor, the Shapiro Library, Written Feedback, your instructors (like me!), and much more.
Social Support generally includes the people outside of SNHU (although your classmates at SNHU can be great social support, too). These are the people that can help you when you need it. That help might be proofreading a paper. It might be watching your kids so you can get schoolwork done. It might be reminding you when your assignments are due. These are also the people who you can talk to if you feel stressed. And, maybe best of all, these are the people who will celebrate your achievements with you. (Envision the people who will come to your graduation party when this is over!)
