Your assignment for this week is to create your remix. You will submit this assignment as your Final Exam found in Course Materials. You will not be able to submit this project until Final Exams week. However, you have this entire week leading up to Final Exam week to work on your project. Over the last several weeks, students have been introduced to several ways to remix their topic. These remix assignments are real-world applications of communication. In each practice assignment, students were asked to use their argument essay topic because that is what students will be asked to remix for the final assignment– this assignment. This means, you should already have attempted several remixes with your topic. Which one did you enjoy most or which one do you think is the best? Pick up where you left off. Revise and polish your remixed work for this assignment. Strive to create a professional finished product. Example: The remixes of your topic you liked best were the poem, the advanced PSA video, and the picture AD. You do not like your poem, the picture ad was okay, but you really enjoyed the challenge of the advanced PSA video. The only problem with your video is that you really hate the sound quality and wish you presented the information in bullets rather than a paragraph on the slides. Make those changes. Take the existing remix, add the sound you want, change the information from paragraphs to bullets and submit this revision for this assignment. OR Example: You liked the advanced PSA video, the formal letter and the petition. However, the video was a lot harder than you expected, and the petition seems obsolete. However, you really felt like you were able to deliver a strong persuasion with the formal letter. Pull up the formal letter you turned in earlier. Look for misspellings, grammar and punctuation issues. Consider, could you add more or be more convincing? Make those changes and submit the revised version for this assignment. It doesn’t matter what remix you use. The choice is yours. Maybe you thought of a revision that we did not practice with, like a song or a painting. Go for it. You choose the remix.
