- choose one or two stories/poems from the “Reading Assignments” section in each unit. (You’re only using one or two TOTAL stories/poems for this paper). You may choose your stories/poems from different units.
- You must to use 3-5 sources from a library database and NOT including your stories/poems. Then, write a 6-10 page literary analysis which has a clear thesis and explicates the meaning of your stories/poems. This is NOT a report. You are a literary scholar, and you are making an argument about the meaning of your texts. You do not need to choose a literary theory to use in the paper – no one is only one kind of theorist. Instead, use the theories that most closely align with your own way of reading.
- The submission must follow all MLA style guidelines, including formatting, in-text citations, and works cited entries.
