Using scholarly sources from the CSU Online Library, write an essay on informatics.
Write a report that includes the following elements:
- an introduction;
- a discussion of how health informatics affects health care delivery, both on the administrative side and the patient care side;
- a discussion of how health care information systems are evolving to improve patient care;
- a description of how data, data mining, and evidence-based medicine are used in academic research and patient care; and
- an explanation of how the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act will be more applicable to informatics tools in the future and if changes need to be made or new acts should be written due to these legislative requirements.
Your report should be at least three pages in length, be double-spaced, and be typed in 12-point Times New Roman font. Please be sure to use at least two resources, and adhere to APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment. APA formatting, however, is not necessary.
