During week 1, you created an outline for the body paragraphs of the healthcare topic you chose. This outline contained the topic sentence, three supporting details, and the concluding sentence for each body paragraph. 

This week, you will use that outline to draft your three body paragraphs. These paragraphs will be added to the article template you are using for this course. Remember to use the hamburger format: 

Assignment Instructions

  1. Open the article template that you used to create your outline and introductory paragraph during the previous two weeks. (Hint: If you cannot find the file you saved last week, return to Week 1 Assignment (this link opens in a new window/tab)  or Week 2 assignment and download it from your submissions(this link opens in a new window/tab) .)Watch how to download your template from a prior assignment.(this link opens in a new window/tab)   
  2. Locate the portion titled, “Week 3 Assignment: Drafting your body paragraphs.”    
  3. Using your outline to guide your writing, draft all three of the body paragraphs for your Facebook article.  Review “Writing the body paragraph” and Interactives 3A – The Body Paragraph and 3B – Writing a Body Paragraph for help.  
  4. Submit your updated article template here for grading.  It is important to remember that UMA has a Scholastic Honesty policy regarding plagiarism. Instructions for Saving and Uploading Completed Assignment

If you are continuing from last week: 

  1. Open your file
  2. Complete the assignment
  3. Click “Save”. You do not need to change the name of your document.
  4. Then upload your assignment by selecting the Upload button.
  5. Select your saved file. Then, select the Submit button below to submit your assignment to you instructor for grading.

If starting a new file: 

  1. Select Enable Editing at the top of the document.
  2. Select File, then select Save As from the drop-down menu. Title your document using the following format. Lastname_Firstname_Course#
  3. Complete the assignment.
  4. Then upload your assignment by selecting the Upload button.
  5. Select your saved file. Then, select the Submit button below to submit your assignment to your instructor for grading
