  • Consider how religion has affected our society, including elections, law-making, entertainment, education and social customs. Think big, not just the close communities in which we live, but nationally and internationally. If you believe that religions have declined, then ask yourself why and has anything else within our society risen to replace the hold of religion? Here is a fun fact: in Medieval times, the church, especially the church spire, was the tallest thing in a town or city, because the church was the most important element in their society. Now look at modern day cities, what are the tallest buildings used for? The answer is usually commerce and business. Does that reflect what is most important to our society?
