Prior to beginning work on this discussion forum, review the Domain 5: Management and Leadership review questions in your Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) Exam Preparation textbook, and review Chapters 21 through 25 from your Health Information Management: Concepts, Principles, and Practice Every week we are reviewing different RHIA domains. During the weekly discussion, you will be expected to review the RHIA practice questions for the respective domain being covered. The weekly discussions will provide an opportunity for you to ask questions about the practice questions, concepts, definitions, or review of the weekly domain.
Domain 5: The Management and Leadership domain makes up 15% of the RHIA exam. The following knowledge is covered in this week’s domain review:
- Apply knowledge necessary to implement strategies to support organizational initiatives.
- Apply knowledge necessary to collaborate on contract management (i.e. outsourcing, vendor management).
- Apply knowledge necessary to perform human resource management activities.
- Apply knowledge necessary to perform work design and process improvement activities.
- Apply knowledge necessary to facilitate training and development.
- Apply knowledge necessary to assist with preparation of budgets.
- Assist with entity accreditation, licensing, or certification processes.
After completing the review questions, include four questions regarding this week’s domains or practice questions. Include information you researched to assist in answering the questions, feedback from the RHIA practice exam, and external resources that supported your knowledge of the content. This is a great dialogue to include concepts in which you would like to strengthen your skills and knowledge.
Your initial post should be at least 250 words. Include in-text citations and reference your sources in APA format as outlined in the Writing Center’s Introduction to APALinks to an external site.. Guided Response: Respond to at least three of your peers. By Day 7, provide feedback on your peers’ support their questions regarding Domain 5: Management and Leadership and provide at least one suggestion to further assist your colleagues in being successful in Domain 5. Your three required posts must be on three different days of the week.
