Following the process we used in your library session:
I. Choose a literary critical theory (not the one we used in class) from among the following:
- Feminist
- Psychological/Psychoanalytic
- Critical Race
- Post-Colonial
- Formalism/New
- New Historicist
- Gender Queer
You will have to do your OWN research to learn more about your chosen theory. I recommend starting with OWL@dPurdue. You must read at least 3 sources about your chosen theory and how it is used.
II. Generate 3 thesis statements regarding how your chosen theory could be applied to the novel. Use AI for one thesis and create your own for the other two. Please note that these theses should be very different from each other and be based on what you have read. Include the prompt you used in order to generate the AI thesis and the 3 sources from part I. Make sure to list the sources in proper MLA format.III. In this section you should use a Word doc. Activate the “track changes” function so your work and changes are visible:Select your preferred thesis and revise it in order to make it as strong a thesis as possible.*
IIIa. Write a 2-3 paragraph explanation of how and why you chose the thesis you chose and what your considerations were in revising it so it would work for your paper and your interests.
