Teach/Learn Innovation Planning and Implementation
Your project team has been employed by a major consulting firm to develop a 2-week training program designed to teach innovation and entrepreneurship to the employees of a major company.
Project assumptions:
· The target organization consists of 300 or more employees, is stable and successful, can afford your services, but shows evidence of a lack of innovation in all areas of operations. The CEO of the client organization, recognizing the problem, wishes employees to become intrapreneurial/entrepreneurial, and thus has reached out to the consulting firm, and your team specifically, for help.
· Assume that:
o Management will require all employees to participate in the company-wide training program that you design.
o The target company wants to become more innovative/entrepreneurial, which may include driving more product and service innovations, business model innovation, process innovation, and, in general, the development of a more innovative culture.
o You will train the employees of the company over the course of two weeks (6 sessions, 60 minutes each).
Assignment
1. Use the attached chapter (People Culture and Organization) and write an outline (3 or 4 subtopics and justify the decision). Your outline should use Culture and Mindset as the backbone of the following topics:
o Developing an Innovation Strategy – Create overall strategy which aligns with culture.
o Generating Innovative Ideas – Begin generating ideas utilizing strategy.
o Service Innovation – Identify and innovate services to support innovation.
o Implementing Innovation – Agile Product/Project Management
2. Provide a narrative style with embedded bullet-points.
3. Provide a 2- 4 slide presentation for #1 above.
