The healthcare and social service industries generally have the most workplace violence victims. Data shows that 69% of physical workplace violence assaults and 71% of non-physical workplace violence assaults are reported in the healthcare and social service industries.Bias and discrimination: Males and minorities may face higher rates of workplace victimization due to bias and discrimination. Stereotypes and prejudices can lead to unfair treatment, exclusion, or harassment based on gender or race.. although we may not see it. For example a black man in the Healthcare environment may be victimized by an elderly white lady because of things she heard on TV about other black men such as robbery or beaten an old lady because he wanted her purse. Not all black men are the same.

Hello everyone, 

I think males and minorities have higher rates of workplace victimization than do females and non-minority workers for so many reasons. First I will have to say most males and minorities have it hard to find a job, then finally get one might don’t want to lose it so they will deal with being victimized. My second reason for male minorities might have a family at home so they can’t afford to be fired. So they will endure being victimized to keep their jobs so their families don’t have to struggle. Another reason that minorities in males are more likely to be victimized in the workplace can be due to low paying jobs because the job feel that you had a lower status or statue, should I say. Overall, a lot of people that feel that they are empowered and no one can stop them from doing anything. They will most likely victimize anybody so males and minorities will definitely be victimize males because most people think their strength they can do so much things heavy lifting, and some people actually can’t knowing that a person can afford to lose their job. A person might take Advantage of their worker.
