: Describe what you learned about writing this semester. I would suggest that you don’t begin with grand statements but rather focus on specific kinds of assignments you were tasked with:
- reading 3 books by good writers to analyze their moves
- reading a variety of other short texts by good writers to analyze their moves
- writing informally in JEs where you have to use writing to think about the assigned readings.
- class time (various presentations and question/answer designed to get us to pay attention to various ways that authors shape their work)
- the formal writing projects (2 WPs) which have you develop a project through all the stages of invention, arrangement, drafting and revision.
