I think it it worthwhile to gain the perspective of a person with ASD. The author was diagnosed later in life, and speaks about the gifts and challenges of living with ASD.
The book chosen for this course was written by an autistic adult, and the purpose of the reading is to gain the perspective from an autistic person and to reflect on their experiences.
