Summative Assessment: Organizational Structures and Leadership Models As a leader in business and industry, you will be asked to prepare informative presentations to explain important concepts to employees, managers, and other executives. In this case, you have been asked by your employer to provide a synopsis of common organizational structures and relevant managerial practices aligned with each organizational structure.

Presume the presentation is in a traditional large conference room type of setting with slides presented on a large front screen.

Create an 18- to 24-slide Microsoft PowerPoint presentation in which you outline common organizational structures and relevant managerial practices. (This is to be the number of MATERIAL SLIDES), examples of non-material slides that may be present would include a cover slide, greetings slide, TOC slide, or questions slides.

Include the following in your presentation:

  • Describe modern leadership theory and its application in the global environment.
  • Describe 3 common organizational structures.
  • Describe 2 relevant managerial approaches for each organizational structure described.
  • Explain how each of the managerial practices supports the organizational structure.
  • Recommend pitfalls to avoid when adopting new organizational structures and management practices.
  • Summarize which managerial approach would best serve the selected organization.
  • Support your work with appropriate textual citations either on-slide or in the speaker’s notes and at least one reference slide formatted (with the exception of font size) to comply with APA v7. and at least one reference slide.

NOTE: Simply copying slide contents as speaker’s notes (or vice-versa) is not acceptable. Visible slides usually contain more general information supported in depth and breadth by detailed speaker’s notes. As with all APA-compliant written work, every reference on the reference slide(s) must be textually cited at least once on a slide or in the speaker’s notes and every textual citation used anywhere must map to exactly one reference on the reference slide(s).

Follow doctoral writing style standards.

Cite at least 3 academic sources to support your assignment.

Format your citations and the reference slide(s) according to APA guidelines with the exception of font size of the reference slide(s) — 24-points is more appropriate font size for slides in a presentation, 11- or 12-point is certainly too small.
