Career Focus (Required/Graded) SubscribeThe CompTIA A+ certification demonstrates to employers that you have the knowledge, ability, and skills in entry-level PC technology. Many industry insiders started with the CompTIA A+, and that led them to higher-paying, more complex jobs in both IT and cybersecurity.

Many large corporations such as Apple, Cisco, Microsoft, and others recognize the value of the CompTIA A+ certification. For those of you in the military or working for the US Department of Defense, the credential is recognized under Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 1 of the DoD 8140/8570 IA Workforce baseline certifications. These skills will serve as your foundation for the more advanced cybersecurity certifications offered by CompTIA (Cloud+, CySA+, Linux+, Network+, Security+, Server+) and other organizations.
