The Process of Writing an Essay
After reading the chapter on the process of writing an essay located in Module 3: Lecture Materials & Resources, write a three-paragraph summary of one of the stories you’ve read so far (including this week). Your analysis should be organized as follows:
Paragraph 1 – Summary of the chosen storyParagraph 2 – Analysis of character development OR conflict developmentParagraph 3 – A response to an academic journal on the specific story or writer. Use at least one in-text citation in your response and include a works cited page.
Steps for paragraph three:
- Use the STU library to look up an article on the author’s work.
- Choose ONE article for your third paragraph.
- Write your response paragraph and use at least one part of your research to support your response.
Submission Instructions:
- The paper is to be clear and concise and students will lose points for improper grammar, punctuation, and misspellings.
- The paper should be formatted per the current MLA and 3 paragraphs in length with a work cited page. Incorporate a minimum of 1 current article (published within the last five years) within your work.
