  1. -Executive Summary* (The summary is written after the entire paper is written. It is generally 1-2 pages. Follow APA convention, i.e., 1-inch margins, double-spaced throughout, use APA Level Headings so it is clear which section you are discussing. 

 An executive summary is a concise summary. It restates the paper’s purpose, highlights the report’s major points, and describes any results, conclusions, or recommendations from the report. An executive summary should be aimed at the intended audience,  who wants to learn more about the main business report’s purpose.  

  • he Executive Summary should be well organized. Professional language should be used (no slang). 
  • Do not include an abstract, as abstracts have a different purpose and are written differently than Executive Summaries.
  1. -Introduction of Proposed Company or Established Company. Include an initial discussion about the industry, followed by a discussion on the proposed company or the new product.
  2. -Mission, Vision, Values, Code of Ethics of the proposed or established organization; Sustainability and corporate social responsibility considerations should be included.
  3. -Products and Services that will be offered. 
  4. -Market Analysis: Market size and trends, the economics of the business or product (Part 1 Ends)
  5. -Part 2 Begins:  Marketing Plan (pricing, distribution, promotion, advertising strategies? Sales Projections? How will you achieve a competitive advantage? Include a competitive analysis-SWOT graphic and then describe how the SOs will be leveraged and the TWs will be mitigated.
  6. -Manufacturing and Operations Plan; Include Technology considerations
  7. -Ownership and Management Plan: Management and Leadership roles, Responsibilities, Skills, Types of Compensation, Team composition-specific skill sets, HR considerations, legal considerations (patents, copyrights), risks.
  8. -Operating Plan
  9. -Financial Plan (minimum of 2-3 years-add exhibits as appendices)
  10. -Conclusion
  11. -Appendices and Exhibits (must be separate from the plan)
  12. -References Page (At least 15 references must
