According to a survey reported in chapter six of the textbook, most drivers report feeling less safe on the roads, yet many of those same drivers also report using cell phones while driving, exceeding speed limits on a regular basis, and violating other traffic laws.  1. Discuss this apparent inconsistency.

2. Most members of the public tend to be against electronic traffic enforcement (such as red light cameras, stop sign cameras and speed cameras).  However, although police are still required to enforce traffic laws the use of those electronic technologies serves to reduce the amount of negative contacts between police and the public.  Do you think that traffic laws should be enforced primarily through electronic means or should police continue to be the primaryenforcement strategy?  Explain your answer.
