Album Review 5 – This week we are reviewing Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon,” a classic 70’s psychedelic rock record. This is one of the highest selling records of all time and contains some of the coolest audio production and experimentation in the studio, not just for its time, but even today. As stated before, it is my hope that you aren’t listening to the albums we have reviewed so far through your laptop speakers or computer speakers (unless they happen to be amazing), because you are missing the superior audio quality that comes from a great pair of headphones or sound system. If there was one record to experience through a solid pair of headphones this would be that record. You’ll know what I mean when you do it. Ambience combined with stellar playing from all members of this band makes this album a classic. This is also a representation of what is called a “concept album” where every track tells a continuous story (starting from song 1 until the end) based on a theme. There have been many other concept albums, but this one stands out as one of the best. I hope you enjoy it and remember – LISTEN TO THIS ALBUM THROUGH HEADPHONES
