Analysis of Psychopathology in Popular Film. You will have the opportunity to select a movie from a pre-determined list. During your review of the movie, please report a possible diagnosis of the individual providing examples of that individual’s behavior that supports the DSM-5 criteria to diagnose the disorder. Next, select a treatment plan for that individual using supported research for your choice of treatment and the prognosis you would give to that individual’s success with that treatment. You must also provide a reflection on the positive and negative messages that the film portrays regarding the particular disorder or psychological dynamics and include a discussion of how well or poorly the movie characterizes the particular form(s) of psychopathology depicted.
This recorded presentation (just the presentation, you do not have to be recorded) should be approximately 10 minutes in length, and use a minimum of five sources, one of which should be the DSM-5 all sources must be within the past 10 years. PowerPoint or Google Slides can be utilized.
