There are several types of employment relationships that affect the hiring and firing of employees. This topic was introduced in the first week of our class.
Some states have laws about employment relationships and others do not. Compare two of the following employment relationships: principal-agent relationships, independent contractors, at-will employment, non-compete contractual agreements, and no-poaching contractual agreements.
Discuss commonalities and differences of the two types of agreements. Does one type of relationship benefit the employer more? Do people want to work for employers who requires the employment relationship?
