The purpose of this assignment is to create a case study of ones own. The case study is to be completely fabricated by the student based on problems, solutions, issues, and trends that exist within healthcare organizations today that the student has learned of in this course. The student can base the paper on a current organization (ie: Florida Hospital) or the student can make up the organization (ie: Crider’s Urgent Care). The case study must be 5 COMPLETE pages. The case studies in the back of the book can be used as guidance, but are not to be used in any aspect of the paper. Students will work individually on this assignment.
Page 1* – Setting and background, case overview
ie: Hospital, physician office, Managed Care Organization, etc. – who, what, when, when
Pages 2 and 3* – Organizational problems
ie: challenges, obstacles, issues, financial implications, etc.
Page 4 and 5* – Organizational solutions
ie: lessons learned, improvements, changes, resolutions, results, etc.

*If each page is less than 1 whole page (ie: of a page), you will lose points. Therefore, please ensure there is substantive detail in the entire 1 page. In summation: there must be 5 complete pages + the references.
Your paper must contain the following:
– At least two references from peer-reviewed journal articles. Note: Wikipedia is not an approved source. Some options: UCF Library or Google Scholar — search peer-reviewed journal articles.
– Please format your paper as follows: 12 pt. Times New Roman font; double spaced. Please ensure you only utilize normal Word formatted margins. You do not need to include a cover page nor an abstract, but your first and last name should be contained on line 1 of your first page.
– Please spell/grammar check before submission. If your paper contains errors, you will lose points.
– Please format your sources in APA format. This means you will list the source on your reference sheet AND include parenthetical citations within your work where you draw from someone elses thoughts. Improper APA formatting will result in a loss of formatting points. Please utilize the UCF Writing Center if you need assistance with APA formatting.
