Briefly explain how the PHS “Studies” conducted in Guatemala and Alabama violated at least three of the criteria for ethical research, as outlined in the reading by Emanuel et al. Also, how do the studies help us understand the intersectionality of race, economic status, incarcerated status, educational attainment, and so on, as a factor in the victims’ vulnerability to ethical exploitation?
