Eileen Gray was an artist, interior designer and architect. She was a woman beyond her yearsa feminist, modernist, enthusiast for the arts and design of Africa and Asia and a consummate spiritualist. In sum she was a champion for design and architecture in accord with the human condition and the experience of such. However she wasn’t acceptable by male architects at her time. Talk about the time and culture background, the gender, and her achievement in architecture / interior design.
